On the 18 January, a new photographic exhibition with special appeal to both adults and children will open at the Cité du Temps gallery in Geneva.
Called “Microcosmes”, the exhibition will feature the work of Sofiane Samlal, a French photographer known internationally on social media as Samsofy for his unique style of photography, which focuses on the much-loved, small yellow characters found in Lego®!
Using Street Art combined with clever props adapted from local materials and installations, Samsofy produces photographs that deliver a variety of adult messages on topics ranging from humor and poetry to politics. On a purely artistic level, his photos succeed in capturing the imagination of children, are highly creative, and are simply lots of fun to behold!

A new health and well-being center has opened between Geneva and Lausanne, offering a wide range of services for the expat and local communities of the Terre-Sainte region. Called Health Quota, the new center is conveniently located near to the Mies station, in a large, airy space, which provides a cross-functional approach to physical, mental and nutritional well-being.
Building on the success of its 4-year-old CrossFit Terre Sainte core gym business, the newly rebranded Health Quota center is the brain-child of three local women, Rebecca Bar-Tur, Mandy Thomas, and Melodie Mazur. With a common vision to help people embrace healthy and happy lives, the three women have embarked on a mission of broadening the appeal of the center to include a much wider range of services such as yoga, Pilates, stretching, running, and other specialized exercise classes as well as beauty, massage and life services.

This autumn, Geneva will be hosting a giant exhibition dedicated to the world of dinosaurs. From Tyrannosaurus to Triceratops, 60 animated specimens will be coming to life at Palexpo. Displayed in actual size over a surface of 4500 sq. m, these impressive animals will move and growl to the delight of children. Dinosaur footprints will also be on show to the public, an exceptional vestige of the presence of these colossal animals in Switzerland some 150 million years ago. With the participation of the Jurassica Museum and the Geneva Museum of Natural History, the exhibition will run from 1st October 2016 to 8th January 2017. Tickets went on sale from 1st July 2016 and can be bought through the Ticketcorner network.
A giant exhibition
Dinosaurs will be in the spotlight at the end of the lake this autumn! The Halle 7 of Palexpo will be home to 60 life-size animated dinosaurs. These animatronics will be installed on a number of interactive stages in an exhibition covering a total of 4500 sq. m. Realistic technology will allow these giant animals to both move and growl. 35 different species will be on show to the public, including Triceratops, Brachiosaurus and the infamous Tyrannosaurus Rex. The stages that accommodate these impressive specimens recall the environment in which they roamed millions of years ago. Visitors will thus be plunged into the vanished world of these huge dinosaurs.
