Press release June 2026
To mark the opening of Van Cleef & Arpels’ Geneva boutique, the exhibition "Van Cleef & Arpels in Geneva: the Story Continues" is showcasing a selection of pieces from both private collections and the Maison’s patrimonial Collection from 4 June to 10 October 2026.
An area devoted to Van Cleef & Arpels’ history will host exhibitions exploring themes that reflect the Maison’s style and creativity through the decades. To mark the opening of Van Cleef & Arpels’ Geneva boutique, an exhibition held from June 4th to October 10th will showcase a selection of pieces from private collections and the Maison’s patrimonial Collection, paying tribute to its emblematic sources of inspiration and its ties with Swiss clientele.
A world of enchantment dedicated to the Maison’s poetic universe opens its doors on the shores of Lac Léman.
Present in Switzerland since 1960, Van Cleef & Arpels celebrates its historic ties to Geneva in 2026 with the inauguration of a new boutique at 23 Rue du Rhône. Over two floors in the heart of an entirely renovated building, the Maison unveils the poetry of its universe in a warmly elegant setting for its collections. Within this 5,200 square meter space, Van Cleef & Arpels brings together the radiance of creations and the art of hosting to offer visitors an experience instilling wonder.
Situated on the shores of Lac Léman, the boutique is distinguished by its glass façade, which displays the Maison’s monogram in a captivating play of texture, color and scale. Alternating between black, gold and bubbled glass, the motif brings the storefront to life with a graphic effect. By night, the diamond patterns are illuminated through cleverly concealed lighting, casting a dreamlike glow over the city. Behind this ornamentation, sheer curtains reveal glimpses of the boutique’s warm interior.
From the street, the entranceway impresses with its vaulting height and striking Murano glass chandelier, which accentuates the boutique’s volumes. Meanwhile, bespoke wall decorations form a triptych abstractly evoking the surrounding nature and the waters of the lake. The first space leads to several salons in beige, brown and black tones, subtly inviting visitors to discover the Maison’s Jewelry, High Jewelry and Watchmaking collections. Among them, the rose-toned Poetic Salon, with floral décor hand-painted and embroidered on silk, engenders a soothing atmosphere, while a bar lounge furnished with rounded sofas and armchairs invites visitors to pause and admire the lake view.
A staircase leads to the second floor, where display cases, counters and expansive bookcases immerse guests in Van Cleef & Arpels’ poetic universe through an iconographic collection, fine books and objects related to the Maison’s sources of inspiration. A second salon, with views of the lake and the Mont-Blanc bridge, embodies the balance of light, landscape and intimacy that guided the architects’ vision.
The boutique also offers two exclusive spaces. The first is a versatile experiential salon featuring gradient green foliage decor and a gilded ceiling that softly reflects the light. Starting in 2027, a second space on the lower level will host an immersive journey into Van Cleef & Arpels’ watchmaking expertise and into the Poetry of Time philosophy, so dear to the Maison.
