
Take advantage of the many beautiful local beaches along the Lake Geneva shore. For the second year, Transport Publics Genevois have rolled out their 29 bus line.
Every Friday evening through Sundays (until 27 September 2026), the TPG beach bus line 29 (Ligne des Plages) is servicing the lakeside from Versoix, La Scie to Gare to Collonge-Bellerive, Bois-Caran! NEW 2026: The bus will run daily during the summer school holidays from morning through the day and night (29 June through 14 August 2026).

These buses run between 12 minutes and 30 minutes depending on the different weekend time periods. The beach line is operated with high-capacity articulated buses. You can check out your bus stop timetable by entering it into the search at this link.

Running times
Runs will start on Friday evenings at around 20h45 from Rive until the end of service, at 00h30, also at Rive.
Service will start on Saturdays and Sundays at around 8h20/8h30.
These buses will also run on the Sunday schedule on public holidays (Ascension Day, Whit Monday, August 1 and Jeûne genevois).

This seasonal service gives the public easy access to beaches and bathing pontoons to enjoy water-based leisure activities or spend time by the water.
New: Its route changes when it passes through downtown:
Toward Collonge-Bellerive, after crossing the Mont-Blanc Bridge, the line loops around and now passes through Molard and Bel-Air before returning to Rive and continuing along the left bank.
Toward Versoix, after Rive, Line 29 stops at the Métropole stop.
