This year, the town of Vevey has decided to bring its own version of an English Christmas to the shores of Lake Geneva. With a series of events taking place between 6 and 23 December, an English Christmas in Vevey consists of four main elements: a mince pie competition, Christmas lunch, high teas, and shopping. Throughout the 18 days of the festival, visitors to Vevey will be able to feel for themselves the warm ambiance of Christmas in England, which will of course include carol singing and lots of Christmas crackers!

Now in its 7th year, Les Automnales is back in Geneva between 13 and 22 November, even bigger and better than before!
With nearly 700 exhibitors, spread out over 8 concurrent life-style exhibitions and situated across 5 different halls at Palexpo, this year’s fair is set to attract even more visitors than in previous years. Indeed, the event has become so successful that last year saw a 45% increase in attendance compared to 2009.

From 9 to 11 October 2015, Geneva will host the first ever international Netball test series to be played in Switzerland, comprising three matches between the national teams of Switzerland and Canada.
Netball, inspired by basketball, is considered the world's premier team sport for girls and women and over 20 million play the sport worldwide. An Olympic recognized sport and one of the major sports played in the Commonwealth Games, Netball was first introduced to Switzerland in 2007 and is now well established in numerous clubs and schools, where it is played by both Swiss nationals and internationals.
An information session will be held this Thursday to inform the public about a historic event that will take place in Rolle next spring.
With two days of festive entertainment planned for 4 and 5 June, Rolle 1900, Ah la Belle Epoque, will transport the town of Rolle, into the famous era of “the Belle Epoque”!
Everyone, including both residents and non-residents of Rolle, is invited to take part in the inaugural edition of this annual festive occasion, which will see the Grand Rue and port areas of Rolle transformed beyond recognition. With so many special animations planned for this momentous occasion, the organizers are inviting everyone from artisans, boatmen, singers and lace makers through to hairdressers, actors, shopkeepers, and cooks to join them at a special meeting to see where their skills can best be put to use throughout the festivities.
