The third show of the Confiture Theater Group season, Le Cabaret Médical, is a humorous and musical epic about medicine in French. You will meet caregivers, patients, bacteria, molecules, viruses, bureaucrats and ethicists who will confide to the audience all their secrets and wildest dreams.
Between sketches, songs, choreographies and current events, many themes will be addressed:

The Progress of Science
In the hierarchy of information and image flows, science in general and medicine in particular have lost their lustre in recent years. Ignorance is living its glory days, and researchers, caregivers and specialists have to face simplified arguments, sterile debates in order to be able to exercise their profession.
After the huge success of "Cabaret Protestant", it is with enthusiasm that the same artistic team gathered to propose this new musical and comical show in homage to health workers, researchers and patients.
A show in the form of songs, sketches and choreographies, rich in humor and emotion, which is addressed to all those who have gone through this unique and destabilizing period, that is to say all of us!
With six years of revue Genevoise and numerous shows that have brought together various artistic and musical forms (Fellini and Rota with the Conservatory Orchestra, the Carnival of the Animals with the Geneva Chamber Orchestra), the Compagnie Confiture has demonstrated its ability to assemble multidisciplinary artistic teams and to manage projects that bring together various creative forms. By retaining the same team as that of Cabaret Protestant, Philippe Cohen, director, has taken the gamble of ensuring artistic continuity while maintaining a large number of jobs in a period troubled by the difficulties linked to the economy that have hit the artistic field hard. The director explains, "The objective of a creation like the Cabaret Médical is to propose a theme accessible to the greatest number of people while being demanding on the artistic quality, with complex but readable dramaturgical choices."
