GAOS have pulled out all the stops again for this season's holiday musical held in December at the Théâtre de Marens in Nyon. Read on to participate in our competition to win a pair of tickets!

Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. Buddy is raised as an elf, unaware that he is actually a human until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh realities that his father is on the naughty list and his half-brother doesn't even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Sarah Irwin (who just directed GAOS' Les Miserables, Schools Edition) is co-directing Elf, the Musical, with Mhairi MacDonald. They both said: “Based on the beloved Christmas film starring Will Ferrell, Elf has always been one of our festive favourites, so when we saw it was available as a musical, we jumped at the chance to bring it to the stage. This production is Christmas meets Broadway — a fun, feel-good show for audiences of all ages. It’s packed with upbeat, catchy songs, big dance numbers, plenty of laughs (including a few for the adults!), and touching moments that remind us of the heartwarming message at the centre of the story. We’ve had an incredible time putting this show together — every rehearsal has been filled with joy and laughter.”
