Make sure to book your seats in the upcoming GAOS show for a fresh rendering of the much-loved children's classic 'The Wind in the Willows'. A musical treat for the whole family.

One of the best-loved works of children’s fiction in English, Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows was first published in 1908. Renew your acquaintance with Mole, Rat, Toad and Badger in this modern-day production by GAOS.

The animals’ adventures take them from the gentle countryside to the ghettos of the inner city. Mole is the newcomer whose education is the thread that runs through the whole story. The animals represent the real world and the turmoils and temptations that face us. As in all Christmas shows, good will triumph over evil!

Follow the animals on this comical modern-day production, scripted by Alan Bennet, where their adventures and misadventures populate the entire story. From an idyllic riverside picnic to a snowy encounter in the Wild Woods, and from poop-pooping in Toad's shiny new motor car to escaping jail!

But watch out for the weasels who plot to take down the protagonists and take over Toad Hall. Will they succeed or does good overcome evil?

Eight fun performances will be presented over two weekends. The cast is made up of 13 children from the age of 7-12 and 24 more aging from 13-70! There will be singing, laughing, and silliness… don’t miss your opportunity to see this with the whole family.

Some comments by the actors, musicians, behind-the-scenes participants, front of house, and organizers have been:
- so excited to be part of this talented cast
- what a massive team effort from so many volunteers
- loving bringing a family favorite to life on stage
- so excited to be using new technology!

Jo Beveridge explained, "This script was written for performances at London’s National Theatre where there is a revolving stage. Scene changes have to happen seamlessly, which poses a challenge on a fixed stage. We have come up with some clever 8m wide projection to overcome these rapid scene changes. Do come and and see it!"
