More than a tasting, Champagne Sunday is an immersive celebration of Champagne’s elegance, diversity, and craftsmanship. For one day only, more than 60+ cuvées from 25 Champagne Houses and independent winemakers will gather at one of Switzerland’s most iconic addresses, the legendary Beau-Rivage Palace, offering guests a rare opportunity to taste, compare, and engage directly with the people behind the bottles.
Celebrating the best
Champagne is a fascinating paradox: the only wine region in the world renowned for producing a single product—champagne—yet capable of expressing extraordinary diversity. Champagne Sunday was created to make that diversity tangible and intimate: styles, terroirs, blends, and vintages come together in one place, revealing just how nuanced and expressive this wine region can be.
Two sessions. One truly sparkling experience
Across two sessions, guests are welcomed by a diverse blend of Champagne’s Grand Marques and independent vignerons. Guests are invited to spend time learning about each producer’s craft, comparing cuvées, and uncovering unexpected favourites. Throughout the sessions, freshly prepared savoury and sweet canapés are served, thoughtfully designed to accompany and celebrate the myriad of champagne.
Whether you are curious, passionate, or deeply knowledgeable, Champagne Sunday offers an experience that is both enriching and indulgent—one that lingers well beyond the final glass.

Peter Jauch
Swiss freelance journalist and experience curator Peter Jauch works at the intersection of Champagne, gastronomy and premium hospitality. Author of two reference books — Champagne and Gin — he designs tastings and dinners that focus on precision, discovery and pleasure. With Champagne Sunday, he aims to bring the diversity of Champagne to life for the public and invite them to immerse themselves in the world of Champagne, in a setting that matches the quality of the product.
Dustin Salvisberg works in the heart of the luxury world: he is part of the events department at Audemars Piguet, where attention to detail and staging high-end experiences are part of everyday life. A long-time Champagne enthusiast, he also imports his own vintages to French-speaking Switzerland and regularly organizes tastings in the region. For Champagne Sunday, he brings a perspective that is both sharp and deeply rooted in the culture of Champagne in French-speaking Switzerland.
Marc Checkley
Originally from New Zealand, Marc Checkley is a storytelling and events specialist based near Lausanne and a well-established figure in the Swiss wine scene. A WSET-certified professional and educator, he creates bespoke experiences in Switzerland, across Europe and in the UK, working with leading Champagne houses and top growers. He is also a UNESCO World Heritage guide in Lavaux and writes for GaultMillau and Decanter. At Champagne Sunday he is a dynamic and trusted “experience manager” for the expat community in Romandie.
