The 14th edition: FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL DU FILM D'ARCHÉOLOGIE DE NYON (FIFAN) This free biennial event is aimed at professionals, archaeology enthusiasts and the general public alike. It will explore civilizations and various fields of archaeology with some thirty films, complemented by immersive experiences and lectures. FIFAN provides an overview of the latest archaeological research, enabling visitors to travel from civilization to civilization through time. It is a bridge between archaeology, cinema and society. It highlights films that tell a different story about archaeology and heritage: excavations, discoveries, cultural and social issues. It fosters dialogue between archaeologists, filmmakers and audiences, while inviting us to reflect on our relationship with the past. Organized every two years by the Roman Museum of Nyon and the Association du Festival International du Film d'Archéologie de Nyon, the festival is a major event in Switzerland for archaeology, history and cinema enthusiasts. Created in 1999, it is one of the major international festivals of its kind, alongside Bordeaux, Rovereto and Athens. |
