Meet the Artist Lecture Series Meet the Artist Lecture Series is a monthly event that happens on Thursdays mostly between 1 and 2 pm at Webster University located in Bellevue. This event is free and open to the public, and will take place on campus (LLC common room). There is no need to register. The idea behind the lecture series is that an artist, academic, or cultural mediator present their work/ research to an audience composed of Webster students, staff, and external guests for around 30 minutes, and to take some questions afterwards. The series aims to enrich Webster’s intellectual culture, to foster creative and innovative ways of thinking amongst the members of the Webster community, and to create a stronger link between Webster and the rich artistic ecosystem in the area. Here are our event dates and speakers for September 2018 through May 2019: 27 September 2018 – Sema Jonsson @ 6:30 pm (https://artsema.com/) Please note that the events on 27 September and 15 November will involve a lecture followed by an exhibition opening.
Our full program for the season is available through this link: http://wcci.webster.ch/events/meet_the_artist/ We also have a podcast project associated with the lecture series: http://podcast.webster.ch (the first two are available through this link).
