About 700 woolly hikers make their way from the Gemmi to Leukerbad and then on to Inden, Varen or Leuk. A special experience for guests, locals & sheep.

On Saturday around 700 sheep will be rounded up on Gemmi, before being driven down the steep Gemmi path to Leukerbad on Sunday. After a short break for the shepherds and the sheep at "Allmei", they will continue on down the valley to Leuk. All in all, the flock will descend over 1,700 metres.
It's not possible to walk on the Gemmi trail from 09:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. due to the sheep procession.
