9h-13h: CPR AND MEDICAL EMERGENCIES FOR BABIES
During this hands-on training, we will cover:

  • Calling for emergency help in Switzerland and what to say.
  • How to give Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to babies, including practice on realistic manikins.
  • The causes of unconsciousness in babies and how to put an unconscious baby into a safe position (the ‘Recovery Position’).
  • First aid for choking in the first year of life.
  • Fever in children under the age of 1 – what to do, what not to do.
  • Recognising meningitis and sepsis and how to respond.
  • Febrile seizures – why they can happen and what to do.
  • Sudden infant death syndrome – what we know and how to reduce the risk.
  • This course is delivered in English both online and face-to-face in one of our training locations throughout Switzerland. Choose which way of learning is most suitable to your needs.

14h15-18h15: CPR AND MEDICAL EMERGENCIES FOR ALL
Learn how to:

  • Follow a step-by-step approach to medical emergencies with a protocol to use.
  • Call for emergency help in Switzerland and know what to say.
  • Assess a person’s level of consciousness.
  • Put an unconscious baby, child, or adult into a safe position (the ‘Recovery Position’).
  • Give Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to babies, children, and adults.
  • Use an Automated External Defibrillator.
  • Act in the case of drowning.
  • Recognise signs and symptoms of a heart attack or a stroke and know what to do.
  • Perform first aid for a choking baby, child, or adult.
  • This course is delivered in English in one of our training locations throughout Switzerland.
