Conference by Margaret Chan, Dean of the Vanke School of Public Health (Tsinghua University, China) and former Director-General of the WHO
Margaret Chan will explore in this lecture how vaccines and drugs are our common goods which need to be accessible and affordable through universal health coverage. Dr Chan will base her demonstration from examples drawn from climate change and the Covid pandemic.

After her talk, she will be joined on stage by students from the Universities of Tsinghua and Geneva to take part in a panel discussion and engage with the audience on our common challenges in global health. The debate will be moderated by Ilona Kickbusch, Director of the Digital Transformations of Health Lab, University of Geneva.
