EXECUTIVES INTERNATIONAL: HOW INNOVATION IN THE FOOD BUSINESS IS HELPING WITH FOOD SECURITY
Thursday 26 January 2023

ei 26jan

According to the UN Food Programme:

"Conflict, COVID, the climate crisis and rising costs have combined in 2022 to create jeopardy for up to 828 million hungry people across the world"

Food security will continue to be a challenge in 2023. Leading businesses in the food sector are innovating to make the food supply chain more sustainable and resilient.

Our panel will focus on different areas of the food supply chain.

Marco Ferroni, Chairman of CGIAR System Board (from 2017-December 2022) and previously Executive Director of the Syngenta Foundation will focus on agricultural innovation.
Beatrice Conde-Petit is the Sustainability Officer at Bühler. Two billion people each day enjoy foods produced on Bühler equipment. She will focus on innovation in food processing.
Christian Nils Schwab is Executive Director, Integrative Food & Nutrition Centre (IFNC) at the EPFL. The centre is the interface between EPFL and the outside world for topics related to food and nutrition along the entire food value chain, from agriculture to food industry, catering and retailers. He will focus on stakeholders in the supply chain
