In this seminar we will:
• explore why students (with and without learning differences) find maths word problems challenging
• focus on a variety of strategies that have been shown to work (as well as some of those to avoid)
• analyse the type of language used in maths word problems and solve some together
• take away some practical ideas to help students solve maths problems independently
