Great British Breakfast in Geneva with Alain Barbey, Regional Manager for Western Switzerland, Swiss Federal Railways (SBB/CFF)

Where is the SBB is coming from? Perspectives for the future.

Schweizerische Bundesbahnen; Chemins de fer fédéraux suisses; Ferrovie federali svizzere; the Swiss Federal Railways: a living, transport legend in the eyes of many for efficiency, punctuality and cleanliness. And a source of envy for other railway companies around the world who seek to emulate it. But it is not easy to keep that top position and still be better.

We are fortunate in having the leader of the CFF/Swiss Federal Railways in Western Switzerland, Alain Barbey, give us a short history and explain how the complex systems function so well, despite variable weather, extremes of temperature and growing passenger numbers.

Alain Barbey will also tell us of today's, ever-present challenges, such as construction, as well as the successful management of major investments versus customer satisfaction and competition. Yes, competition! He will also explain how digitalization and new technologies bring a wealth of opportunities. And the Leman Express opens in 2019. What will it convey? Alain Barbey will tell us.

The Great British Breakfast is a legendary culinary experience, even now appreciated in Paris! If you are British, come along and enjoy all the ingredients you miss from home, right down to the HP Sauce. If you are not British, come and savour the flavour of bacon and eggs, sausages, mushrooms, baked beans and tomatoes. Renew friendships, make new acquaintances, chat about business, catch up on all the gossip and be away quickly if you must, right in the heart of Geneva.

Don't miss this exciting and informative event.
