NUIT DES MUSÉES GENÈVE
Saturday 30 May 2026

https://nuitdesmusees-geneve.ch/

29 cultural and scientific institutions are ready to welcome fans of Museum Night. Organized by the City of Geneva’s Department of Culture and Digital Transition and the Geneva Museums since 2013, the event offers a rich program of 150 activities for all audiences.

On your marks… get set… go! Museums!

Under the banner of challenge, collective momentum, and action, the 29 participating institutions invite you to enjoy a nighttime cultural experience during this edition. Escape games, dance contests, treasure hunts, as well as workshops, performances, and tours of current exhibitions punctuate this unique night, where museums can be discovered in a new light, in a festive and friendly atmosphere.

Accessible and inclusive, the event offers activities for all ages, as well as specific accommodations for visitors with disabilities. For the third consecutive year, sign language tours translated into French are being organized at three institutions. A huge success in 2025, they are available this year to the hearing public by registration.

New for 2026!
This year, the Museum Night team welcomes:

- The Bibliothèque Braille Romande et livre parlé, whose mission is to provide people of all ages who are blind, visually impaired, or unable to read with access to written information. The Library is opening the doors of its building in the Old Town to help visitors (re)discover Braille through three fun and informative activities.

- The Geneva Skateboard Museum, which houses a collection of pop culture artifacts and rare, never-before-seen pieces, is offering a flashlight-guided tour of its collection. The Museum also encourages both young people and seniors to bring in old skateboards or related items for an appraisal and explanations of their history.

“This 12th edition celebrates movement in the broadest sense: the movement of bodies, ideas, and audiences. It reflects our commitment to fostering dialogue across disciplines, promoting connections, and making culture ever more vibrant and inclusive,” says Joëlle Bertossa, City Councilor in charge of the Department of Culture and Digital Transition.
