2017/2018 Ukulele Class for Beginners Our approach is based on the Ukulele in the Classroom series (widely-used in Canada) which is part of the James Hill Ukulele Method Series. The classes are for children who are age 8 and older and are designed to engage students in a process that develops authentic musicianship and positive attitudes towards music. For curriculum information, please visit Ukulele in the Classroom. Schedule - September 2017 to June 2018 - Ukulele Classes for Beginners Fridays:
Please check with the school for closures due to school holidays. Reservations and Registrations To sign up for a class, complete the online reservation form. After your child is confirmed for a class, the registration process is formalized by making a payment and returning a signed registration form to The Chatterbox. Tarifs and Conditions Classes run from mid-September through mid-June and observe the Canton Vaud school holiday schedule.
Instruments All students must have their own instrument. Please note that many cheap ukuleles on the market are of inferior quality, difficult to tune, difficult to play, and unacceptable for use in this course. For those persons already in possession of a ukulele, note that it must be setup with a "low G" string to support linear tuning. For these reasons, it is highly recommended that you consider purchasing a ukulele from us. If you already own a ukulele and are unsure of its quality, we are happy to advise you on its suitability. The Chatterbox is offering ukuleles for purchase at CHF 150.00 (depending on stock) which include the following:
If you decide that you do not want your ukulele at the end of the course, we will buy it back from you at a discounted price if the instrument has been well-cared for and is not damaged.
