Ideally located in the heart of Geneva, only steps from the lake and the Place des Alpes, Eastwest Hotel opened its doors 10 years ago. To celebrate this anniversary in the chic nomadic style that characterizes the hotel, Eastwest will take its guests on a journey from East to West through 10 exciting destinations. From Switzerland to Thailand via Japan and Denmark, this gourmet and cultural itinerary will make a stopover in a different country each month.

EASTWEST - the spirit of a private home in the heart of Geneva

A boutique hotel of understated luxury, Eastwest has attracted guests for 10 years with its intimate atmosphere and casual elegance in the spirit of a private home. Its refined contemporary setting is a subtle blend of East and West. A choice meeting place for a cosmopolitan Geneva clientele, the restaurant reflects the hotel’s traveling spirit, offering creative, modern world-inspired cuisine. The open-air patio and its wall of streaming water framed by vegetation is a real urban oasis. From February this year, the patio is transformed into a winter garden for the season, offering a new idyllic space that can be privatized for events or dinners under the stars.

Encounters and culinary alliances, the promise of beautiful discoveries

Each month, from February to November, Eastwest will host 10 travel-themed evenings, all within the cosy comfort of its restaurant and living rooms; an original way to celebrate an anniversary, while honouring the culinary and cultural heritage of each destination.

Gastronomic talents from different regions will be invited to the kitchen of Xavier Watrelot, head Chef of the Eastwest restaurant, to create four-handed menus that will offer a world of culinary experiences.

During these exclusive evenings, guests will not only taste refined regional dishes but through exhibitions or performances also discover interesting cultural facets of the featured countries. Seating for these special evenings will be by reservation only.

Regular guests of the restaurant will find, alongside the seasonal menu, a special discovery menu inspired by the country honoured each month.

An itinerary with varied flavours

The voyage will of course begin in Switzerland. On the 7 February, during an exclusive evening, Chef Xavier Watrelot, Head Chef of Eastwest and Jean-Briac Monboussin, Executive Chef of ADHotels group, based in the kitchen of Hotel Tiffany, will offer a reinterpretation of Swiss gastronomy classics.

In March, the trip will move on to Japan with the exceptional presence of Takeo Yamakazi, Chef of the legendary restaurant Yoshi, the only Japanese restaurant of Joel Robuchon in the world. Located in the Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo, Yoshi was awarded a Michelin star in March 2010 and is also celebrating its 10th anniversary!

This stopover is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the program and guests can discover the inventiveness of Takeo’s associations during a special dinner on Thursday, 1 March, available by reservation only.

The agenda for April will take you to the heart of refinement with a visit to Thailand, in collaboration with the Patara. Located in the Beau-Rivage Hotel Geneva, Patara is a reference in Thai gastronomy and its long-standing tradition of excellence will make for a wonderful evening.

In May, a Scandinavian stopover will explore the hygge way of life and a gastronomy with green attitude. A flagship vegetarian restaurant from the Danish capital will visit Eastwest to delight guests.
