If you missed the recent series of free talks on "Stress and Hormones" by Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist and CHEK Practitioner Jennie Delbridge, don't worry as you now have another opportunity to find out more about this interesting subject for women.  Following popular demand, two more free talks will be held at The Best Western Hotel, Les Champs-Blancs, 1279, Chavannes-de-Bogis on Tuesday 27th March from 10h to 11h30 and 19h30 to 21h.

A new 10 week workshop on Stress and Hormones for Women will also start on Tuesday, 24 April at 10h00 at the same venue.  Click here for more details on this website.

"Stress is involved in every common health complaint," says Jennie, who has studied chronic stress related disorders for the last 5 years. "Stress affects the adrenal glands which affect your hormones," and, according to Jennie, women are often frustrated by the lack of clear medical answers.

Common symptoms such as low energy, foggy thinking, sleeplessness, weak muscles, weight gain, depression, mood swings, blood sugar issues, skin and hair problems, osteoporosis, PMS, premature aging, loss of libido and hot flushes can all be attributed to chronic stress, adrenal malfunction and hormone imbalance. Yet, often only the symptoms are treated.

Transforming Lives, a local organization dedicated to guiding people through their life journeys, will open a new center in Nyon on 24 March.

Starting at 12 noon with a welcome introduction by founder, Kamy Lavanchy, the Grand Opening will feature a series of events including talks on Lithotherapy (using crystals), the Law of Attraction, and Love. In between the talks there will be free group healings in the crystal grid room.

Any knowitall.ch clients attending the event will receive a certificate worth Fr. 25.- to be used on any services provided at the center.  Just remember to bring along a copy of this article when you arrive on the opening day.

Since Transforming Lives was first set up in 2011, Kamy has helped numerous people in their quest for “love, peace and happiness”.   Kamy explained to knowitall.ch what her work entails,

“What most people don’t realize is that, in order to achieve love, peace and happiness, we must make some changes within ourselves.  At Transforming Lives we are dedicated to guiding you through your life’s journey to ensure that you achieve this goal.  We believe that change is a mind-body-spirit evolution, which can begin with any one of these areas.  What’s wonderful is that Transforming Lives covers them all!

After a very successful first year with their own companies, Maureen Redard, owner of Kalosia Créations, and Victoria Chappuis, owner of Infinite Weddings & Events (announced on knowitall.ch last year), have now combined forces to create one new company called Kalosia Weddings & Events.

By combining their individual strengths, they have created a new company, which better serves the diverse needs of future married couples – and others requiring help in the planning of their own special occasions such as anniversary events for companies or schools.

Whilst both ladies have considerable experience in the planning of weddings, Maureen will be able to combine her unique decorating skills with Victoria’s event planning skills to expand their business beyond just weddings.

Between them, they will be able to provide everything you need for your special event - from the invitations through to the decoration of the event and finally the thank you cards!

If you want to attend one of the many English-language Christmas services happening in Geneva, Vaud and neighboring France this year, take a look at the following list, which we have compiled from the websites of local churches. Some of them are French-speaking but most are English-speaking churches. Please check the websites before setting out, in case any of the times have changed.

If you know about other services in your area, please let us know.
