A local mom, who specialises in cooking Mexican dishes and home-baked pastries, is offering knowitall.ch readers the chance to win one of her delicious chocolate cakes!

Having tasted one of Gabriela’s deliciously moist chocolate cakes, Know-it-all passport editor, Lisa Cirieco, was intrigued to try her Mexican homemade tortilla soft tacos with salsa verde sauce, as well as homemade chipotle sauce that looks like chutney, so has no hesitation in recommending her services to our readers!

Asked how she came to be so passionate about cooking, Gabriela told knowitall.ch, "I come from a Mexican family where food is very important.  My mum was a very proud cook and taught us how important it was to gather friends and family around delicious food."

She continued, "After retiring from the United Nations, I looked for activities to continue being active in life;  I started drawing zentagle-inspired designs and have even presented my work at different venues including the Espace-Santé in Bellevue, Geneva! However, my lifelong passion for cooking was nurtured again when I started to prepare typical Mexican food for my son's business, promoting artisanal Tequila (Tequila Villalpando). Things snowballed from there and, before I knew it, clients were asking me to bake pastries and cakes for them too!"
