Following its huge success in Lausanne last year, the Foxtrail urban treasure hunt invites the public once again to take up the trail challenge this summer and attempt to decipher its cryptic clues laid strategically in and around the city.

Popular all year round with families, groups of friends, and work colleagues, Foxtrail allows participants to explore the city of Lausanne by embarking on a treasure hunt, which encompasses some of the most important highlights of the city.  The “Citi” trail leads directly to the heart of the city, via historic landmarks and the Olympic museum. Hidden messages, doors that can only be opened with a special code, and intricate puzzles transform the tour into an exciting adventure for all ages!

Covering both the urban and wooded areas of Lausanne, the “Alti” tour is not for the faint hearted. The forest challenges are demanding on both the body and the mind, while the city challenges are particularly mysterious and baffling in nature.  For the more technically minded, this tour also uses the smartphone “FoxApp” to help participants follow clues along the trail.

Foxtrail is targeted at families with children 8 years and above as well as groups of friends looking for a fun and memorable day out.  It is also ideal for corporate excursions and team-building outings, with participants working together to solve clues along the trail.

Each trail lasts between 2.5 and 4.5 hours, with participants moving between clues either on foot or by public transport. Groups of up to 18 people can reserve the trail at a specific time, splitting up into teams of 2 to 6 people, so they can work through the clues and challenges on their own and at their own pace. Larger groups of 19 to 300 people are looked after by an Event Manager who will help to organize the group ahead of their day out.  There is a helpline for any groups that have lost their way and need help to overcome a specific hurdle.

Foxtrail Plus customers are welcomed at the end of the trail with an aperitif – this is a special moment for everyone to compare notes and talk about their individual experiences, over a drink and snack.
