In addition to the shop, Scuba Dream also offers a range of activities through its partner diving school, Aqua Diving. With lessons ranging from water sports and diving for kids, through to PADI courses for adults and training for instructors, the school caters for divers of all levels from novice through to expert. It also has its own diving club with advantageous rates for members. As well as the various diving activities organized by Aqua Diving, the school also runs an annual event for divers and local volunteers to help clean up the lake.   Taking place this year on 18th September 2016, the 24th Nettoyage du Lac is expected to collect around 1000kg of waste from the shores and bed of Lake Geneva.  Indeed, over the past 20 years around 14000kg of miscellaneous waste has been collected, including 6060 aluminium cans, 6160 glass bottles, 4260 plastic bottles, 320 items of clothing, 19 bikes and scooters, 69 tires, and 27 trolleys, not to mention wallets, toys, road signs and chairs. A complete barbecue set was even found one year, as well as a safe!

The Nettoyage du Lac is, however, more than a day of collecting waste. It is an opportunity for volunteers of all ages to unite in a spirt of friendship and solidarity, with numerous animations organized for the kids along the theme of environmental protection. There are also prizes for those who make the most unusual finds whilst out collecting rubbish – and, of course, time to relax at the end of the day with a well-deserved aperitif around a tasty fondue offered by the Buvette des Bains des Pâquis. For more information on how to get involved in this event please contact Patty at the Nettoyage du Lac address below.
