La Côte International School (LCIS) has just moved to a brand new, purpose-built campus in Aubonne, Vaud.  Set amidst the apple orchards and vineyards overlooking Lake Geneva, the campus provides an inspirational location for 50 staff and over 200 students, currently enrolled in the school.

Like many new schools emerging in the region, the LCIS campus building has been constructed using environmentally-friendly techniques and materials.  In line with the school’s teaching style, the facilities incorporate the very latest building technology and include an impressive new sports hall, an on-site theatre, and an outdoor classroom.

Able to accommodate up to 800 students, the new campus also boasts 44 classrooms and 12 additional rooms dedicated to science, computing, art and music.  There is a multi-function, professionally-catered dining room that offers two lunch menus a day, including a vegetarian option, a library, and on on-site coffee and juice bar, where parents can mingle and soak up the family-friendly atmosphere of the new school.

Needless-to-say, all classrooms benefit from the latest interactive screens and other technologies, allowing students to learn, communicate, collaborate and access information in the most efficient and effective ways.

LCIS Principal, Wendy Ellis, told knowitall.ch, “After months of meticulous planning, we are thrilled to have finally moved into our stunning new campus in Aubonne, which is ideally placed within easy commuting distance of both Geneva and Lausanne. “

She added, “We are also delighted to be able to share these facilities with the community of Aubonne by hosting various local clubs and societies, and look forward to expanding these links in the coming months and years”.
